i dont care if you think tomorrows like any other day..it is and i think so too but it doesnt hurt to look good!!!
<3
i think it sounds great just wear like a pink tank top with a white jacket (zip up so u can see the pink)
ok so i can’t add pictures for some reason
so i will describe it to the best of my knowledge
ok it is like a cross sword with a cross over the top of it (it is as one pendant though)
in the middle there is an orange agate stone (round)
then near this on the cross handles there is a red and green and purple and blue stones (i think these are agates as well)(these are also round)
then inbetween each of the smaller round stones there just above it there are some round stones in mint green , purple ,brown and red (i think these are agates)(these are rectanglular)
the bail is above the red rectangle stone
i have been told this is a scottish agate pendant however i can’t find any hallmarks
i also have a rolled Gold Heart Locket
this has a flowering tree on the main part of the locket
then the edges have a swirled pattern
i have been told this is from the 1950’s
i was wondering if anyone knew how much these are worth and if anyone has similar
i didn’t know what catergory to put this in
I’ve worked part time in a jewellers for 4 years whilst at uni.
You can send the cross away to have the metal tested and hallmarked, although this can be around £40 to have it done.
You can have the items valued, there is a company called SafeGuard who will value the items for around £40 for the first item and £20 for any consecutive item. They will also send you a certificate with a description and photograph for insurance purposes. You can go into any H Samuel and they will send it off for you.
I would say it does depend a lot on what the agate is set in and its age. Obviously older, well made pieces, will have more value than modern, mass produced machine made items.
Generally speaking, rolled gold is not that valuable. The 1950s is not that old but 50s influences are creeping back into fashion, interiors and accessories. With these things sometimes they are worth as much as someone is willing to pay for them. Its really hard to say without seeing them, but I would say do a bit of market research, see if there is anything similar in the shops, that will give you a ball park figure of value.
I hope that is of some help!
I have this kind of cheap locket necklace I bought a year ago. It’s a huge Gold Heart Locket on a simple small link chain necklace. There were these really gaudy large plastic circles on one side, but I took some wire cutters and cut them out. Unfortunately, I can’t reattach the necklace pieces.
The links are tiny-a bit over half a millimeter each-and thick. I have a pair of needle-nose pliers I used to try and pry one open, but it’s not budging.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can open it? I can close it easily, I know that. I just need to open one so I can loop it back into the next one.
Thanks!
To open a chain link in jewelry, you don’t spread the cut ends apart. Instead, you twist the ends away from each other. When you open it by spreading, it’s very hard to do and almost impossible to close it again completely, but when you twist it open, it opens and closes pretty easily. If it won’t twist open, you’ll need to add jump rings. In your case, if the size difference is too great, you may also need to add some jump rings in intermediate sizes to bridge the gap (you can buy jump rings in any craft store or department (Michael’s, Moore’s, JoAnn’s, WalMart, etc.).
Here’s a link to more detailed directions, with pictures. Hope this is what you needed – good luck!

I’m looking for a preferably gold locket. It has to be able to hold two pictures and only two. It doesn’t have to be in any certain shape (ie. heart, oval). It does have to be hand-made and the only of its kind. Where can I find something like that?
Contact a local jeweler who does custom work. They should be able to come up with something. Might have to wait a few weeks, but it’ll be worth it. Failing that, if you can find an artist who works in metals, they should also be able make one, and that will probably be more unique. It will cost quite a bit, though. I know I wouldn’t sell any of the lockets I’ve made for less than $300, and the lockets I’ve done in that you could put pictures in I wouldn’t part with for much less than $600–and I only work in silver.
I have 2 videos of this to show you what this compact can do. This is a very cute item and I actually got this as a gift from one of my best customers! I know it’s probably an “imitation” but it is pretty well made and very cute! It has a mirror inside and plays a tune and all the buttons make a noise!

Okay, so my boyfriend bought me a heart locket last Christmas that is really special to me and I wear it all of the time, so now it’s dirty and has lost its luster. It is not real gold, but I think it is sterling silver. It’s engraved with my name also. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to clean it without it rusting? Should i take it to a professional cleaner, which I really do not want to do.
There are several electronic jewelry cleaners on the market. You put the item in a basket with the cleaning solution, turn it on and a motor in the unit vibrates causing sonic waves in the solution. The waves help the solution get in the nooks and crannies of the item and bring back the shine.
Okay so my grandma gave me a necklace that was her grandmother’s and it’s over 100 years old. I’m not sure if it’s Swiss, Austrian, or German though. I don’t have a picture of it but it’s a little smaller than an inch, it’s a gold heart with a metal dot in the middle kind of engraved in it. It seems like it could be a locket but it’s not and the chain is gold and the links are like mini rectangles and delecate. I know that’s super vague, but maybe if theres an antique expert or someone with a necklace like it out there who can tell me where to find ones like it or more about it that be great..and please no stupid answers!
I have no idea!!! try taking it to an expert. You’ll have way better luck there. Where’s your grandma from?

I’m looking for a 14k white Gold Heart Locket that is approximately a 1/2 inch in width. Maybe, a small diamond in center?
Please help me find this specific locket!
It doesn’t matter the price, just as long as it’s quality made to last.
